Persian Cultural Community Centre (A Great future plan for Persian Community )

Establishing a Persian Community Centre has been the most important concern for Iran-Canadian in Vancouver, since! 1980, that large number of Persians have immigrated to this province.

North Shore has been a predominant area where Persians particularly Iranians have chosen to reside. The population of Iranian community has been growing dramatically in North Shore and it is estimated about over 20,000.

To provide direct and effective services in different area, the Persian community requires a centre that people can have access to the services they needed.

Goals of Persian Community Centre:

1. To Provide direct services to the Persian Community.

2. To bring people together

Services:

1.    To provide orientation and settlement services for newcomers.

2.    To provide legal advisory services for newcomers.

3.    To hold English and Farsi language classes for new immigrants.

4.    To assist Persian-Canadian Women and Youth to establish their own groups and organizations.

5.    To provide Youth Crime prevention program.

6.    To establish moral and logical relationship between Iranian-Canadian community and mainstream society.
